Magnetic navigation systems (MNS) represent a novel technology that uses externally placed magnets to precisely steer tethered and untethered devices. Several technical challenges are faced by surgeons during SCS lead implantation, particularly in the confined dorsal epidural spaces in patients with spinal degenerative disease, scarring and while targeting challenging structures such as the dorsal root ganglion. Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is an established treatment for refractory pain syndromes and has recently been applied to improve locomotion. 7Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, University Health Network, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada.6Department of Neurosurgery, School of Medicine, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY, United States.5Department of Neurosurgery, University of Sherbrooke, Sherbrooke, QC, Canada.4Faculty of Medicine, Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, Munich, Germany.3Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada.2Multi-Scale Robotics Laboratory, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland.1Department of Neurosurgery, Henan Provincial People's Hospital, Henan University People's Hospital, Henan University School of Medicine, Zhengzhou, China. ![]() Neimat 6, Juha Hernesniemi 1, Anuj Bhatia 7, Bradley J.
